The Matthews House. Cary, NC

    CONGRATULATIONS!    Zack and Jennifer Tarras.

Zack and Jennifer met on the dating app Bumble in 2018.  Zack was living in Wilmington, NC where he was attending college.  Zack frequently visited Raleigh due to car issues and ended up matching with Jennifer on one of his visits.

Their connection was described as instantly comfortable and similarities interest made conversation easily. They both  love sporting events and were Florida Gators fans.  One of their early challenges was which team to route for, NC State verses UNC!  Both Zack and Jennifer were family orientated and had similar ideas of what their lives together would be like. They both have a passion for traveling and trying new things as a couple. Their first year of dating, both Jennifer and Zack got to know each others families and be part of holiday celebrations together.  One of their fondest memories dating was their trip to Michigan and how special it was for both of them to spend time with Zack's family.  Michigan is now on their list of top favorite spots, because on their second visit Zack proposed to Jennifer on Mackinaw Island.

    NC State University Club

CONGRATULATIONS !   Jeremy and Allision Fehlman

Allison and I met in college, when she was a freshman and I was a junior. At first, I thought she wasn’t really my type, but after some time and growing separately, I began to realize that she was exactly the type of woman I wanted to be with. So, I picked the least ideal time to ask her out: a month before I graduated college. As I worried if things would work out between us through all the life changes before our relationship even truly started, Allison reminded me “If our relationship is going to work out, it will, even if we have to work for it. Worrying about the timing of it all is not a good reason to not even try to make a relationship work.” I’m glad she said that and we decided to go for it, because two and a half years later we got to start our lives together as husband and wife. It was definitely worth it.

The NC State University Club located at 4200 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27606 has been serving the faculty, staff, and alumni of NC State University for over 50 years, and is the ideal place for you to celebrate your wedding day.  Host your wedding somewhere special that combines modernity with convenience. There are two ballrooms available.  The University Room has a beautiful view of the par-3 golf course. With the terrace off the back of the University Room it allows your guests to enjoy a pleasant evening outside while still enjoying a delicious meal inside. The simple elegance of The Ballroom allows for decoration to suit every function while providing a warm and inviting area for guests. An important feature of the Ballroom is the quaint rose garden patio located off the west end of the Ballroom; which provides a beautiful backdrop for pictures or a wonderful place to relax with friends and family. The largest room at the University Club can accommodate up to 250 people for a buffet or sit-down lunch or dinner and up to 300 people for hors d' oeuvres.

The Rand-Bryant House offers 4 wedding packages to choose from, ranging in price from $2750.00 to $5950.00

The Rand-Bryan House stands on a farm owned by the Rand and Bryan families since the late 1700s when it was acquired as part of a land grant from the King of England. The name of the house helps to highlight this long history. Over the years, the property stayed in the family and has gone through many changes.  The current Greek revival-style home that serves as the focal point of the 135-acre farm was built in 1871. From the 1950s through the 1980s, the property was a working dairy farm. From 1980 to 2010, the property featured a Christmas tree farm. Many wedding guests still have fond memories of visiting the farm, choosing the perfect tree, and cutting it down to take home.

Today, the large evergreens and surrounding fields provide the perfect backdrop for storybook weddings.

In 2009, Martha Bryan Liles oversaw the renovation of the farmhouse and opened it as the Rand-Bryan House.

She has managed the venue and continues as manager until her retirement in June 2022.

The Town of Garner purchased the house and surrounding farm in December 2021 and continues to operate the house as a venue. Future plans call for passive parkland to surround the house so this beautiful property can be shared with the community.

    Congratulations!   Mark and Courtney Pachlhofer

Mark And Courtney met  online on an app called Hinge. Their first date went well and they continued to talk and date. Each date was better than the one before and after a while we found ourselves spending more and more time together. Spending so much time together at some point Courtney's parents  ask me what my intentions were. Funny, only a week prior I had told my mom that I thought I would ask Courtney to marry me.  After we talked more about getting married we went to look at engagement rings.

A few weeks after that we went on vacation to Sunset beach with her best friend and  her family. I told everyone what I was going to do and asked them to help me get Courtney to the pier one night. At the end of the pier I dropped to a knee and asked for her hand in marriage. She said yes and I was so excited I popped up before putting the ring on her finger.

Private Residence /  Four Oaks

CONGRATULATIONS!  Cody and Jessica Price

At the age of 14, Jessica and her family moved to North Carolina from Texas. The first friend she made here was Cody. Meeting by coincidence through Jessica's family business, they were just kids enjoying playing and being young.  Jessica and Cody went on to high school, making their own friends and eventually lost contact.  Cody joined the military when he turned 18 and Jessica continued her education.  Ten years later they found each other on Facebook and started casually catching with one another.  Neither admitting they had feelings for each other until December 2019 when Cody asked Jessica if she would go on a date with him when he returned from being overseas. Without hesitation Jessica agreed and here we are today, March 2022.

How cold was it? With a high of 65 the day before, when a cold front moved through temperatures never rebound and continued to drop to below freezing. By Ceremony time wind was still gusting at 20mph  but that did not deter this beautiful "Disney Theme" wedding. Jessica and Cody got married in their parents backyard surrounded by family and friends. This couple had a beautifully themed "Beauty and the Beast" wedding under a huge white tent with beautiful chandeliers and silks hanging from the roof.
